Project Haulin' Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the mobile game Project Haulin'("the App") collects, how it is used, and your choices. The App is published byIFF Productions LLC ("IFF Productions," "we," "us"). We keep this short because we collect very little, and nothing that identifies you personally.
Summary
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, address, or location.
- We do not use advertising identifiers, and the App contains no ads.
- We collect crash and diagnostic data automatically to keep the game stable.
- If you choose to send a bug report, we collect what you put in it — your message, any screenshots you attach, and basic device info.
Information we collect
We collect information in two situations: automatically for stability, and only when you choose to send us a bug report.
| What | When & why |
|---|---|
| Crash & diagnostic data — crash reports and stack traces, device model, OS version, app version, performance/stability data, and a randomly-generated Firebase installation ID | Collected automatically by Google Firebase Crashlytics while the App runs or crashes, so we can find and fix problems. The installation ID groups reports from the same install; it is not an advertising identifier and is not tied to your real-world identity. |
| Bug-report content — the title and description you type, any screenshots you attach, and a device diagnostics snapshot (model, OS, screen size, memory, and current game state such as scene, speed, fuel, and cargo) | Collected only when you open the in-game bug reporter (an on-screen button or by shaking the device) and submit a report, so we can reproduce and fix the issue. |
| App-integrity & configuration data | The App uses Firebase App Check (with Google Play Integrity) to confirm requests come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the App, and Firebase Remote Config to fetch feature settings. These exchange device-integrity and configuration data with Google but do not collect personal information. |
We do not collect your location, name, email, phone number, contacts, financial information, or an advertising ID. We do not use analytics for advertising, and we do not buy, sell, or rent personal information or build advertising profiles. Please avoid putting personal or sensitive information in the text or screenshots of a bug report.
How we use information
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- To improve the stability, performance, and gameplay of the App.
- To protect the App and its backend services from abuse.
Service providers we share it with
We rely on a few trusted providers ("processors") that only handle data on our behalf:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Google LLC) | Crashlytics (crash & diagnostic reporting), Storage (holds bug-report screenshots), App Check / Play Integrity (anti-abuse), and Remote Config (feature settings). |
| GitHub (GitHub, Inc.) | When you submit a bug report, its contents may be posted as an entry in our development issue tracker so we can track and resolve it. |
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
How long we keep it
Crash and diagnostic data is retained according to Firebase Crashlytics' default retention period. Bug reports are kept for as long as needed to resolve the issue and maintain a development history. You can ask us to delete a bug report you submitted at any time (see below).
Your rights & choices
You can play the App without ever submitting a bug report. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete information associated with a bug report you submitted. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To make a request, email us athello@iffproductions.com and we'll respond within the time required by applicable law. Uninstalling the App stops further automatic diagnostic collection from your device.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through a bug report, contact us and we will delete it.
Where data is processed
We are based in the United States, and the information described here is processed in the United States and by our service providers. If you use the App from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed there.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made reasonably prominent.
